紐約行第二天part2: 美國自然歷史博物館+Shack Shake Burger+時代廣場
NY trip Day2_Part2: AMNH+Shack Shake Burger+Time Square



看完自由女神  趕快抓緊時間往"美國自然歷史博物館"(AMNH)衝去!!!
因為時間很有限  顧不得其實不是很順路 哈
博物館就在曼哈頓上城的中央公園旁

We headed for the American Museum of Natural History(AMNH) right after Lady Liberty tour.
The museum is nearby the Central Park at upper west side of Manhattan.





大家記得很好笑的電影"博物館驚魂"嗎?
就是在這邊拍的 
平妹一進來就一直瘋狂尋找電影裡好笑的場景和展示品

The Comedy "Night at the Museum"
and "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian" were filmed here.
The guide indicating exhibits shown in the movies were also offered at the information counter.
My little sis was so excited to search movie scenes.





除了因為電影的拍攝地點而受到歡迎
美國自然歷史博物館號稱是美國前三大
有全世界最大型的恐龍化石展示
還有最大宗的自然科學各類收藏  包括上千萬件的標本展示
裡面實在是太精彩絕倫了!!! (連我媽都讚嘆不已  哈哈哈)

The AMNH houses the world's greatest natural science collection.
And it is ranked as one of the top three museums in the States.
The diversity of the holdings is astounding, including 36 million specimens
spanning from microscopic organisms to the world's largest cut gem.    








館內依不同主題分區
例如亞洲 非洲  和北美的動植物區
還有豐富的世界人類演進始展示
每走進一個展示區
彷彿到當地走了一遭  因為動物都好逼真  搭配生動的佈景
真的很像置身開放式的生態園

Animal and plants exhibits in Asia, Africa and North America are showcased in different featured areas.  
The museum also contains extensive anthropological collections.
You feel like being in a natural open area as you walk into different sections.
The animals look so real with the harmonious backdrop displayed behind them.

The people seem to be able to walk out of the showcase!! Amazing!!





展示區之間不忘設置紀念品店
Souvenir store in between.





然後我個人十分喜愛"北美哺乳類"這區
因為動物都以非常真實的方式展示  跟身後的背景很融合一體

The showcases in the North American Mammal section seems to picture their real life in the habitat.
I like the cheetah sneaking on the rock, and the cute goats(?) walking on the cliff.

Look at these cuties!!! Gosh they are so adorable and look so real.






我覺得設計團隊真的很厲害
背景實際看其實更細致更真實

The design group was genius to create the delicate man-made natural scenes.

燈光也打的超好
燈光下獅子的毛色好棕好立體

The light made animals look so alive.





好想要把牠抱起來
Can I keep one plz?





熊熊也好溝追
Love the furry chubby bears.





還有打架的場景 哈
Fight for life.





還有另雲雲目瞪口呆的大遷徙場景 (很愛演?)
這種櫥窗景致超壯闊阿  是不是很酷!!!

The showcase was so incredible displaying the grand view of great migration.
(Love my mom being so dramatic lol.)







我發現非洲象跟亞洲象長的好不一樣
結果這個館才參觀沒多久
就被館員請出去了  因為晚上這裡有個夏令營
小朋友晚上會睡在這裡擺放的活動床 (美國好像常常有這種類似活動)
就在這些動物旁邊耶 好刺激喔
這種體驗也太特別了!!!!

African elephant looks so different from Asian's.
We were asked to leave this area later because the space would be prepared for a teenager's sleep-over camp.
Spend a night at AMNH??!!! Wow how nice and exciting.





大廳的恐龍展示
The huge dinosaur fossil in the main hall.





印地安人的展區也很酷
光是他們的日常用品就讓我看好久喔

The clothes and daily appliances in the Indian area took me a long time to explore.





然後為什麼印地安人的眼睛都要閉起來?
感覺超怪....

Why did they all close their eyes? So creepy....






喜歡他們可愛的面具還有襁褓背帶

自然歷史博物館真是個另人眼界大開的寶庫耶!
有機會來紐約  博物館驚魂的電影迷
或是喜歡動物的人   一定要來被驚嚇一下喔!!

Such an eye-opening tour today.
AMNH is really an awesome spot to visit for your NY trip next time.

看完博物館肚子好餓
來過紐約的人應該會聽過一間好吃的漢堡店
"Shack Shake"
就在博物館旁  走路就到囉!
一路上走在中央公園旁的人行道上
綠意盎然好愜意  好舒服~

So starved after visiting the museum.
Then we headed for a popular burger restaurant nearby called "Shack Shake."
Enjoyed walking on the verdant sidewalk on our way to the restaurant.





中央公園這裡可以感受紐約難得的悠閒和寧靜
You can feel the peaceful and slow-down atmosphere in NY by walking around Central Park.





到了耶!
Here we are.






怎麼光看餐廳外觀就覺得好美味...八成是餓昏了= =
The restaurant looks so good from outside.....I guess it's because I am too hungry





生意好好  早就坐滿囉!
The popular restaurant had already been so crowded as we arrived.





喜歡速食餐廳裡溫暖的黃光
(排隊也排太長....但是店員點餐都很有效率  不會等太久)

Love the interior warm light.
Though the line was sort of depressing, we didn't wait for too long cause the clerks speed up taking orders.





我們最後點了
Shack Burger和Cheese Burger
原味薯條和起士薯條
飲料點了Iced tea還有shake

We ordered the Shack Burger and Cheese Burger.
Fries and the cheese fries.
Iced tea and the shake.





店裡還有賣他們的T-Shirts 和小嬰兒的衣服耶!!
(點完餐會拿到一個等待震動鈴)
They also displayed and sold cute T-shirts and baby clothes in store.





看起來也太好吃了八!! 原味薯條和起士薯條很都棒
薯條炸得剛剛好  吃起來乾爽不油膩 (薯條控note)

Looked superb tasty!!!
The golden plain fries and the fires with cheese were such yummy sides.
Crispy and not too greasy.





漢堡牛肉熟度濕度都剛剛好  一點也不柴
蔬菜和漢堡麵包都很新鮮
用餐環境也很舒適 (雖然今天人多了點...)
奶昔對我來說蠻甜的   但味道也不賴
吃速食配無糖冰茶最棒  冰涼又解膩

The beef patty was juicy and well done, and went perfectly with the fresh Veggie and hamburger buns.
I love the cozy dining area, though it's kinda crowded that day.
Milk shake tasted good but still too sweet for me.
Unsweetened iced tea is always my favorite for fast food.

吃完Shack Shake
晚上剩下的時間我們決定去時代逛場走走

After dinner, we decided to spend our evening at Time Square.





除了欣賞夜晚五光十色的時代廣場
來這裡當然要逛個街
好多品牌來到這裡店面都變超氣派  商品超齊全!!
Gap今年夏天的搭上螢光色風潮
把繽紛的T-shirt串成風帆狀的天花板裝飾  (喜歡!!!) 

Many brands open huge shop on Time Square, offering diverse merchandise.
Love the arrays of colorful neon shirts hanging up there like sailing ships at Gap.






這裡的Forever 21也無敵大間
Forever 21這幾年也拓展不同的系列  (這間店裡全都有)
這個柔和色調的系列我好愛 (後來買了左邊數來第二件洋裝)

The Forever 21 at Time Square houses all the lines they have.
The line with soft color outfits is my favorite.
I ended up buying the second dress on the left. (so cute!!)






有來過時代廣場的人
應該對這裡的mm和Hershey's 都不陌生
兩間店就在對街  有華麗的電視牆 和可愛的外牆裝飾

The M&M and Hershey's chocolate have been known to visitors already.
Their fancy exterior and the big TV screen were their signature look.  






店裡除了巧克力  當然還有可愛到爆表的周邊商品
我媽對這裡的馬克杯愛不釋手

My mom was crazy about the cute mugs at M&M's.







還有裝巧克力的小玩具  小小朋友應該覺得這裡是天堂
The cute chocolate containers drove little children crazy.





Hershey's 的人潮也不遑多讓
這天一進門每人還可以得到一顆free chololate當來店禮  so sweet!

We got a free chocolate when we stepped into Hershey's. How sweet!!





這款巧克力糖漿加甚麼都好吃耶
在家裡做鬆餅 吃冰淇淋都少不了它!!

The chocolate syrup is my fav when I have my waffle or ice-cream at home lol.





雖然這天下午剛下過雨
地上濕濕一樣不減晚上人們的熱情

The pouring rain in the afternoon didn't  sweep away the night vibe at Time Square.







時代廣場上的售票亭TKTS
上方會發光的階梯在夜晚真是美呆了

The stairway on the top of the discount booth TKTS looked so pretty at night.





幾乎每個觀光客經過這邊都要上來走一下拍拍照
(儘管今天階梯好濕滑...= =)
從階梯上還可以從高處看整個時代廣場的美景

Tourists climbed the stairs, taking pictures and enjoying the great view up here.
(Though the stairs were still wet and slippery.)






結果因為人太多
想趁人比較少時拍張照都蠻困難...哈哈哈
但我還是喜愛這樣熱鬧的夜晚

The background was always full of people.
It's impossible to take a picture with nobody behind even for a few seconds.
But still love the hustle evening here.
